The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

There's a 501st now?

:)

I'm sure I'll be there as long as it's not the same time as any Trenches things.

From experience at Steel City Con, wear the TK first. After being in the USCM armor for 4-5 hours I had no desire to switch to the TK. Its just too comfortable.

That's what most of MD plans to do for it.

I just wanted to make a post here and say what a damned great time I had. Thanks to Rob (Tarim), I snagged his old armor just before the event. Even though the name designation was still his (Slater) I got to have some serious fun, including the colony sweep that led us to Alan Tudyk. Man what a fun weekend.

It was my first drop, and I got some good pics despite not having a helmet and having to borrow a pulse rifle. Can't wait for Dragon*Con!!

Also, how does one get an official designation/serial number once having participated on a drop?

What a blast! Glad we could "host" a small invasion. It was such fun having Spat, Anthony, Drew, and Gareth around. G - Thanks for letting me pull your chain and hand you off to Alan Tudyk. I'm sorry we didn't make it back in time for the panel and proper goodbyes to you all.

This was a great event, had a blast. I'm glad I managed to be the resident "artificial person" for the drop that took us right up to Alan Tudyk.
Although I can understand how Abe has that effect. Especially when he came waltzing out of the stall in the men's restroom while I was standing at the urinal trying to handle my business. Everything just...stopped.

Her screams were even funnier in person.

Don't worry, I think Abe got his share of scares.... there was a woman in a fishnet top who seemed to set him down the path of heavy drinking.
