The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Compilation part 1

Compilation part 2

(Recondo makes an appearance at 1:20 in the second clip)

And here's more lulz, me as StormShadow beating up stage ninjas at a Toronto Con http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Dl11HCsg0M

Yes, Kevin...God does indeed want you to do another costume, he loves GI Joe! And what a weird rig Recondo's got too. For Law I had to buy an airsoft holster, cut off some of the straps and then had that sewn onto my vest. While Recondo's is attached to a belt (http://www.yojoe.com/action/84/84card/recondo1.jpg)the same theory might apply.

And Adonis, yes. Duke needs to make a comeback. Just in the right colors this time

Well unfortunately this costume will be a no go for this year. I just can't spare the funds for it.

Sorry guys. I'll put it together one day though. :)

Didn't think this warranted it's own thread, so will post in here:

For my second D*Con costume I'm after a Blunderbuss-type rifle/shotgun:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blunderbuss

Can be resin/plastic/airsoft/whatever, but ideally light enough to be carried for long periods. :)

Just as a loaner for the event. I accept liability for damage/loss, as long as I know the cost of the item before I receive it, so I can decide whether to take it or not. :)

Recondo will be trooping with the Joes this year! 8)

You guys are going to have to give me a schedule so I can suit up with you all.

If a whole group goes Joe every year, I may throw one together for next year.

Sadly, there's no way I'll have the time or money in the next 2 and a half months for this year.

I only have so much time at DCon and so much space in my luggage, I'll be cramped as it is with Jayne Cobb and USCM gear. I'd love to bring the Snake-Eyes costume again this year. :O

I could almost pull off a Gung-Ho or Flint with minimal additions to luggage though. I'll see how this are closer to go time.

Nothing a little sharpie work can't fix :P Actually I meant to type out Leatherneck (sans M16/M203) and got the names of the Marines in the Joe team mixed up, shame on me :P

We have to elevate him and the other Joes (such as Roadblock) back to manly man status.

Aw Kev you just made my day! Seriously man, I can't wait for this. We have a great time Joe-in it up every year, yes every year at Dragon, and always get a great response from the crowds. We've got 10 or so folks right now with another 5 or so as maybes. Could be the best year to be a Real American Hero yet!

Yooooooooooo to the FN Joooooooe!

If I wasn't already spending 1700+ dollars on DragonCon costuming this year, I'd totally whip one up. Probably Firefly. Hopefully next year will be just as good (or better).

Whoa, Firefly was the most under-rated character ever in the cartoon and comics (only given a run when it was too late for the Marvel series as it was getting stupid at the site) and would make for an amazing outfit!

My Storm Shadow was quite easy and cheap too, used my old Gi, made weapons out of pipe insulation foam and backpack out of dollar store bristol board and 2 stackable wire bins side by side cable tied together.

What about the Tomax or Xamot in a business suit. That's pretty easy. Even more so if you have a twin.
