Man, I really like this feeling of only trying to get MINOR things done in the last couple days before the Con, like the release cable for my vest, or the armor plate - and not major things like, oh, the stabilizer arm

I will actually have slept within the last two days when I get to the Con this year! I wonder what that will feel like?

You said it though, Spectre... I can hardly pay attention on campus, the only thing I can think about right now is gettin' on the road for Atlanta.

I'm done with work , and on vacation . We leave tommorrow about noon to head down to milwaukee to stay at an airport hotel . its only 50 bucks more to stay there , and leave our vehicles there , than it would be to just park at the airport . plus we get 2.5 hours more sleep . which i know i will need ...................DCON HERE WE COME !!!!!!!!!!! OH FU**IN RAH .

Spectre, GirlSpectre, and myself all just received final "Go" confirmation on our mobilization orders. Beginning pre-mob' checks and maintenance on all weapons and gear. Transport pre-load detail will commence in approximately 30 hours. Estimated time of deptarture for rally point is 38 hours and counting...

It's like Christmas freakin' Eve, man.

Boy howdy... I made it.. Let's see... Got here around 3PM.. Have my DC badge. Room. Weapons "Peace Bonded"... And it only took me from Monday 3 PM (Pacific time zone) until 3 PM today (Eastern time zone) Oh wait and a new car battery today after getting my car jumped this morning. But it was worth hearing security say "We have a guy with 2 bags of guns to be checked" (Peace Bonded). It was kind of a holly crap kind of statement.

Hey even though I missed the sweep I wanted to say thanks for making me feel so welcome. Quite a few guys came up and introduced themselves at various points of the weekend. Very cool group... next year when I am fully kitted out I'll be much more involved in the mix!
