The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Pretty much.

D*Con first, all other cons second.

http://www.dragoncon.org

D*Con's website. Tickets are still pretty cheap right now. I'll actually be buying a lifetime pass this time.

Not much is required to get into DragonCon apart from money and transit to Atlanta.

We don't really have "requirements" so to speak of. Having some sort of Alien related costume is generally recommended for being part of an Aliens costuming group.

Overall, we're pretty cool people. We're not going to tell you you're not screen accurate enough to hang out with us, or march in the parade, et cetera like some other Sci-fi costuming groups. :)

If you want to basically fit in, a good-looking combat uniform with USCM patches is your basic attire. The maximum this could possibly cost you is $150.

Here's a basic look for your tunic:

Desert Digital. Interesting look.

What's the A POS tag on the left arm?

Man an improvement that tape is also, when I was in you needed to find my ID or dogtags to find blood type. About time they make it a little easier for the medics.

i think these in my opinion are the closest to the actual bdu's that are worn in the movie , not including maa set of course , but for a cheaper alternative. these are going to be my second (backup set)

You have nearly a year to get to Atlanta.

Any other con you go to (in the US) will be lucky to see more than 2 or 3 marines. D*Con had well over 50 this year. It's well worth it.
