Seriously though- for those who don't know me too well yet, I quit drinking 10 years ago because I used to drink too much.

Waaaaaaay too much!

So one day after one too many hangovers I quit cold turkey and haven't looked back since.

I've always said that you only have so many drinks in your lifetime...


And I drank all mine already.

Besides someone has to stay sober to mentally record all the shenanigans, debauchery, and goings on that happens at D-Con.

Kevin, good on ya. I still drink, in moderation, but I had a similar "cold turkey" experience five years ago with other substances. Never looked back.

I tend to moderate.

I don't usually drink everyday.

Then at some cons... Vulkon where I work... I drink like a fish on Friday and not usually on Saturday.

D*Con I had nothing stronger than a Diet Mountain Dew.

But maybe that's because last year I got so drunk I go into a Hot Pant contest with Ray Park.

Oh, Lottie... no chastising meant. I just noticed on Monday while skimming through the grid that there was actually a "Friends of Bill W" listed. I never did AA or any kind of organized recovery, but I figure if it works for people, more power to them. It thought it was kind of cool that there were meetings there.
