The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Can anyone post the actual rate, so I know if I can afford to book there?

Unless it's gone up- it should still be $150 per night.

Not too sure yet if I want to book the Marriott or Hilton again. The Hilton did have a decent guest buffet.

Hmm, I really wanna go to this.

So which hotels have "No Photography" rules and which don't? That could really ruin my trip .... hehehe

The no photography thing is generally only in certain areas at certain times, and it's just to keep the flow of traffic moving.

Remember, there are thousands of people trying to move through an area, and stupid people will stop to take a picture lengthwise across the path, blocking everyone trying to move by, rather than taking the photo with the flow of traffic so there is still room to pass.

As such, everyone has to suffer.

Yup, that's an effect I'm familiar with. ;)

Just had a shock: D*Con website said all the hotels were booked up, but that was for 2007 lol. Gonna have to get a room soon though ....

VS?! What, we're against each other then? If you want to go toe-to-toe agains Brits pal, you're on your own!

But seriously, it would be great to have more Brits on board... so far we have one refugee and one escapee that show up once a year. :)

A Frenchman taking point? For a military situation, in America?

There will be no doubt in anyone's mind that it's all science-fiction, that's for sure!
