Just been watching some news footage of the highways out of New York City and read some of the online News items about Hurricane Irene! :| So just thought I'd better wish anyone who's in the firing line good luck and hope to see you all safe and sound on the other side! One quote from the head of FEMA basically said "We're going to have damages, we just don't know how bad" :shock:

Also hope it won't cause enough damage to disrupt Dragon Conn! :?

Thanks, Winch. Atlanta is far enough inland that it was spared much of the major effects of the storm. It has since passed and landed in North Carolina. My concern is for the people along the coast and in New England.

Hi Chryse,
no worries I guessed Atlanta was probably safe from direct damage by now. It's just looking at the map below on the BBC News Website coupled with the news that pretty much every coastal State from North Carolina to New York has already declared a State of Emergency I was wondering if there would be sufficient infrastructure/transport damage elsewhere to adversely affect people getting to the Con! :(

Well, latest satellite imagery shows that its center is directly above Montreal... And it's coming down like cats and dogs over here.
