The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Whoa.

Even if this isn't from Avatar, as reported, I'll take a pack, please!

An M60 with some rather half-baked looking additions... Not impressed! What have they done to that poor '60!

From what I know, I doubt it is taken from Avatar, since the only picture released so far (officially, at least) is here:
http://www.cinematical.com/2008/12/23/f ... -revealed/

As far as I know, Avatar will be far more futuristic.

But maybe it's something I've missed – what's the source of that image, Rev?

Given that the camo looks suspiciously modern-day as well, I suspected that this was something like the Starship Troopers test footage, to give the actors something close to the final result for rehearsals and the like.

But is it a Sniper Rifle, Support weapon, or just a Really Big gun to FUBAR practically anything :?:

Two 60s were 'dressed up' and used in the filming I believe. Mate of mine was one of the armour fellows, I'll ask him for details when I see him next.
