The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

:D

If you play the game "Fallout 3" in their little loading screen cutscene things is a shot of a newspaper with a title that reads something to the effect of "USA to annex Canada!"

Sorry Kevin, but you have to wait until 2072 to be a US citiczen. ;)

Fallout amuses me. :)

Ah sweetness! That would be the downloadable content I've been waiting on for Fallout 3. I finished it a bit too quick. I've got a copy of Fallout 1,2 & Tactics, so I knew what to expect from Fallout 3.

If you finished it quick, you did it wrong.

Go back and do it again. There's at least 100 hours of gameplay abound. Play differently, explore. Never know what you'll find.

What make me laugh about this idea is that a mere 200 years ago, my province claimed the land in which Kevin & Scott currently live in and pretty much as well the east portion of that is now the USA, west of the original 13 colonies... hell, it went all the way down to Florida!

Notably in encompassed what is now Atlanta... imagine that, Dragon Con in my own back yard!

On a serious note, I'm a full supporter on the United Americas. When do I get my Amero?

Um... you need to speak to the Treasurer... Mr. Kevin Burton. ;)

Actually, it was just a "slide" in the intro to the game, not a real cutscene per sae.

You mean we aren't already?

(And since Dom brought up a bit of history) Of course there was that little skirmish called the War of 1812 (which you guys started) in which we pushed you back across your border, occupied Detroit, set fire to the White House (and most of Washington) all with our troops under the command of William Lyon MacKenzie who was insane and hammered all the time.

After a while we became bored with your weak beer so we came home and partied.

Anyone needing an Amero ($20 denomination) please send $100 US dollars to burton2 (at) quickclic (dot) net via Paypal.

I keed.

And isn't it the 53rd state anyway? (Inside joke you may not remember.)

I was about to say, 'surely the UK is the 51st state', but I'm forgetting we're Airstrip One...

Ah, that bit. There is supposed to be a series of downloadable content coming out for Fallout 3 on the XBox. Just thought one of them might be a scenario during the War before everyone and everything gets nuked or ends up in the vaults.

I bought the collectors edition the day it came out and have the Pipboy bobble head glued to my vans dashboard.
I only have to complete the Nuka Cola Challenge, Nuke Megaton and the Paradise Falls quest left to do. Found over 100 locations, built all custom weapons, found 10 of 20 bobble heads and found the T51-b Power Armour (no agility penalty).
Didn't find the crashed UFO or the rest of the Super Mutant Behemoths, I found three of them. Was pretty disappointed that there's no Gauss weapons, they rocked in fallout 2.

Nothing. Canadians are immune to super-mutant-killing-gatling-lasers. Duh. I thought everyone knew that. ;)

@Stainless Steel Rat (one of my favorite book series back in the day...): There's a rumor that one of the expansion packs will involve going to the Enclave headquarters, but that's all I've heard of thus far.

Nothing has yet been released.

So, commit canibalism yet? :) I hear you get an achivement for it. :D

And they say video games aren't corrupting the youth of America.

And Laser weapons turn them to ash, Plasma weapons melt them into a pile of goo.
You can't deny that the Shish-Kabab is the best melee weapon in Fallout 3! An Uber Flaming sword. 8)
Or the Railway Spike gun, just like the Predators spike launcher in AvP, can impale heads and other body parts onto walls!
If that's not your thing then try the Rock-It-Launcher, put any old junk into this weapon and it will fire it! Ashtrays, teddy bears, baseballs, bottles, plates, tins, etc. The best part is you can go pick up the stuf you just fired, so you never run out of ammo! :D

I haven't played an evil character in it yet but I will at some point.
Hopefully they don't delay the release of the downloadable content for Fallout 3, it's supposed to be out sometime this month.
