The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

THE CLONE!!
After the 'Clone Wars' premiere this weekend I plan to pull a few extras pieces and upgrade this plain white to a Commander Cody.

Image

A group of us from JediOKC have spent about 3 years (granted only 1 day a week for most of that) building the molds and accessories for the clone armor.

I won't have this at Dragon Con, but those attending the Dallas Comic Con in October will get a glimpse ;)

Again we built the molds so if anyone is wanting some clone armor......let me know ;)

Yeah a few of us signed up on Clone-Empire but I didn't want to post anything until I had solid pics to back it up.
I know I'll be on there with the Cody upgrade.

At times I wanted to just pack it all in.......drilling the back board for the helmet was one time because half of the hydrocal mold just cracked away....

Anyway.....Friday and Saturday night I'll be out with the other clones and the pics will flow in :)

Well...it was completed only an hour or two before we left for the theatre. I can tell you now....it needs tweeking.

The chest, back, crotch, ab and butt pieces are all attached and then the arms and legs are attached to those.
I had trouble keeping the chest/back pieces close to my body so my back was killing me.
I need to shorten the straps holding up the thigh pieces and strap down the shoulder bells more.
Oh and sticky back velcro is no good on the gloves, so those need to be sewn.
A nice 'to do list' for tomorrow before I head out again.

Here are a few that were taken though.

Just some thoughts Tony, I know ya couldnt get them done in a day, but ditch having the tighs attach to more armor, get a belt or one of the heavy lifting harnesses you see at folks using at Lowe's and attach the thighs to it with straps in the front and back.

After wearing TK armor for a few years I was tired of having it like that because it would always shift the ab plate around, tried this set up and it works pretty good so far.

Thank you!!

I'm making a list of all the changes to make before October...consider that one added.

I did the same thing with my USCM ab piece....it has straps going all the way up to my neck because it would not stay up otherwise.

If anyone has anymore ideas please do let me know.

Also...anyone know where to get the OSCS helmets and possible Cody accessories from?

Not sure who does Cody parts, but OSCS hangs out on clone empire a lot should be easy to track them down.

Ya might want to detach the chest and ab too, just to give ya that added lil bit of flexibilty looks like you rivited it on?

HAHA if Oklahoma wasnt a 20 some hour drive I'd be up for helping ya mod it, i love playing with armor lol.

I'm on Clone Empire....but want to get it modded to a Utapau before going any further with Cody.

You'd be surprised how comfortable it is with the chest and ab attached. We do need to make the chest piece bigger though, that's a larger mod to do.

Cody parts.....I think I'll just make these up myself.
I need to pull my Palpatine mold in clear blue tinted resin for the holo-projector I want to do.
I'll gather my research and make some helmet and armor accessories and cast them up...something to keep me busy :)

Thanks for the advise, much appreciated :)
