I remember reading about these guys, way back in grade school.

I don't remember their official title, but I know that they are distinguishable by their white gloves and their only job is to shove people into the train.

You would think that perhaps adding more trains and/or more cars
...or even an upper deck would solve the problem.

I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same.

No problem to sleep while standing in those trains :lol:
The white gloves seem quite common in Japan. Taxi drivers wear them too.

Never saw anything like that when I was in Tokyo, but then I never travelled in the peak hours of the morning.

Heh, at least those with colds and sniffles have the courtesy to wear a mask when they are travelling, though ;)
