The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

At the Weta Workshop stand at London MCM Expo they were doing a draw, so I just put my details down in the vain hope of maybe winning something.......

....and I have! :D

E-mail received today:

Quote:
Hi Steve,

We have just completed our London MCM Expo competition draw, and you are the drawn winner!

Congratulations! You have won yourself a complete set of our Hellgate: London limited edition collectibles:
http://www.wetanz.com/collectibles/inde ... ex&cPath=6

Can you please provide me with your full delivery address (and phone number for courier puposes) and I'll have the four pieces from the Hellgate: London range sent to you.

Kind regards,
Darren @ Weta

Hellgate: London Collectibles

Flagship Studios present Hellgate: London, a rich and dynamic new video game in which players are cast in the role of the city's valiant protectors. Weta Collectibles has joined with Flagship Studios to create a line of spectacular collectible statues celebrating the drama and grandeur of the world of Hellgate.

When anyone orders their very own Hellgate: London Collectible they automatically go into the draw to win a custom collectible of themselves as a Templar Knight! The collectible is not only hand crafted by the techsmiths at the world-class visual effects company itself, but is also signed by multi-Academy Award? winning Richard Taylor.

As well as receiving the unique collectible, the winner also has their name rendered on an in-game character in the actual game, Hellgate: London, courtesy of Weta Collectibles and Flagship Studios.

Total worth: £432 + shipping. 8)

I don't usually win anything, so that's a nice surprise. :D

Congrats!
It is funny how you resolve yourself to losing those things. I do a lot of trade shows and the drawings are always fixed. You must have made an impression on someone;)

Nice one Steve! :D

The one with the sniper looking dude on the Church spire looks sweet! How big are they? You keeping them for a collection or selling them on to fund your Marine equipment?!?

Three are 14 inches high, with The Hunter (church spire dude) being 18 inches high.

I'd like to keep them, but if I'm ever driving to a drop in the near future and someone makes me an offer, I might take it.

I usually enter as many of them as possible, but never hold out any hope of winning. :D

They've arrived! :D

The delivery guy got a sack barrow out of his van to carry them.
They're really heavy. 8)

Here's the boxes with my Jungle Boots for size comparison:

Image

First statue out of its box (the smallest box), with boot for size:
Image
It was in two sections; base and girl, with the lower boot of the girl having a pin to locate it into the base.

Close up on the detail:
Image

Will have some dinner and then get the others out of their boxes, then to suit up in my UKCM gear for the 'official' winner's pic for use on the Weta web site. :D 8)

Here's all four statues assembled:

That's also the pic I've sent to Darren at Weta.

May suit up in the UKCM gear tomorrow/at the weekend and take a better pic.
