I noticed that one of the airport trucks on the new GTA is called a Ripley. Its the same kind of truck they used for the Aliens APC. Is that a purposefully done thing or am i looking in to this to much.

It is, and there are hundreds of other small geeky references in there.

TBH, we developers try to sneak them in whenever we can. I've put friends names on wall graffiti and named companies following obscure references in the titles I could.
