The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Oh dear god!
Why can't people leave these classic movies alone!?
If they're not terribly remaking them they're coming up with a crappy sequel...

Yeah Corey hasn't changed much in the last 20 years. Good on him! 8)

I knew he still looked the same from his reality tv series The Two Coreys (starring himself and Corey Haim).

It's funny- I think in one of the episodes Feldman tells Haim that he is doing a sequel to Lost Boys- and has to break the news to him that the studio hasn't ask Haim to be in the movie- Haim had burned too many bridges in his sordid past.

That show of theirs had about as much reality in it as I have winning lottery tickets.

I much preferred Near Dark myself.

Not that I'm biased over the choice of actors in Near Dark...

But it was definitely the better of the two Vampire flicks of '87. :)

That's crazy! I have always told people that Near Dark was a much better vampire movie, and they say "what movie?"
Just like "Interview with the Vampire" overshadowed a much better "Frankenstein" remake in 94.

The original is one of my wife's all time favorite films.
I liked it because it had a comedy angle as well as horror. Near Dark was just typical horror, dark, dark, dark with gallons of corn syrup to spare.

Near Dark was just cool to see the cast of Aliens again!

Paxton does a complete 180 with his truly badass portrayal of a vampire.

The movie also contains one of the coolest renditions of "Fever" by The Cramps.

And a clever way of "curing" someone from being a vampire.

The dvd is sitting on my shelf right now. Haven't even watched it yet since I bought it last Oct. Looks like I'll be throwing it on tonight! :)

Should we go way off topic? Anybody watch Bill Paxton on "Big Love"? I'd love to see Lance Henrikson show up on there as a polygamist family elder!
