The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Been playing this flash game for the past week:

Sea of Fire 2

Basically it's a bit like Storm the House- in which you must defend against attackers coming toward your base-

However you can build defensive weapons (such as Gatling guns and SAM rockets) and/or offensive weapons (such as troops, tanks, and air power).

Victory is accomplished by completely destroying your enemy's defenses (bases) and overrunning their territory with ground troops. You are defeated if your enemy does this first.

As seconds tick by, you make money to buy upgrades. These upgrades can be purchased at anytime during a round, and improve as the game progresses.

You can play as either The New Hope Alliance (the good guys), or the Temple of Snakes (the bad guys).

The game is campaign based- kinda like a game of Risk (although I've never played Risk   ).

Anyway I've finished the entire game on the hard setting as both the good and bad guys (and let me tell you- the hard setting is hard!)

Your guys are always on the left side of the screen no matter which team you pick.

My tips-

Always start out defensive- build Gatling guns or ATGM sites. Your enemy is going to start sending troops to overrun you almost immediately- you need to build defenses right away.

You have seven spots to build something on- save at least one spot for a Financial Office (good guys) or Labour Camp (bad guys). Each time you buy an upgrade for this- your "money per second" increases. This is very important as you will need to be making more money in order to buy upgrades to defeat your enemy.

As you make enough cash- switch to more of an offensive posture- destroy one of your gun bases and build a Barracks (troops). On higher levels you can build tank facilities, and air bases. Depending on which side you play you can either build a SSM Launch Pad (to fire strategic rockets) or an Anti-Missile laser (to shoot down those very same rockets).

If your enemy breaks through your defenses, they will damage one of your bases- or several at once if it is an air strike or rocket strike. You must repair these bases immediately or they will be destroyed. On higher levels it can be very costly to rebuild an entire base rather than repair it. You will run out of money fast.

In this game money is life! When you can't generate enough cash to repair/rebuild your bases, your enemy will overrun you. Keep upgrading your Financial Office/Labour Camp until you have obtained around $100 per second (it can be less on the lower levels or easier settings). After the $100- you can destroy the office to make room to build something like a tank facility or air base.

Enjoy!

Hey Kev,
This is a fun game.
I finished the easy level(Alliance), now for the snakes.
Then I'll move on to medium and then hard.
