The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Blair Witch on Steroids!!

If you liked the style of Blair Witch and the shakey camera didn't make you sick....go see this movie.
And yes, you get to see the monster!!

First 15-25 minutes sets the scene and then BHAM!!

I shall say no more.

In case you're wondering how I saw it so early......pre-screening passes ;)

Pre-Screening!?!

I listen to the only two stations in town that give out tickets to these sorts of films, and I haven't heard a blasted thing. I just figured Abrams decided to keep everyone in the dark by not allowing pre-screeners to spoil things before the actual release date.

Please say nothing more... I want to see this film this weekend!

On the subject of shaky camera...

Just saw The Bourne Ultimatum (No 3) yesterday, directed by Paul Greengrass. I'd loved the first one, but the second, already by Greengrass, I'd gone and seen in the cinema and, while I enjoyed the story and the action, the camera was so shaky and whirling around so much that I actually came out of the theater feeling nauseous.
Well, I felt the same way after watching the third one on a PC screen.
There's stylish, and then there's sickening. Litterally.

According to AICN, a lot of people have been able to see prescreening.

And giant + tentacly doesn't automatically mean Cthulhu.

If you've seen the trailers and wanted to see it - see it.
The trailers give you all you need to in which to make a decision ;)

Cloverfield is about the most realistic Godzilla movie we are ever going to get... pretty damn good. You could also think of this as "The Mist" only from new yorks perspective and without the mist.. Basicly the same type of experience but filmed like the Blair Witch Project..

thumbs up.

We loved it. I got nothing bad to say about it except, I would think that our weapons would do at least a little damage to the thing.

Great film, it wasn't scary to me, but some people in the theater were freaking out.

Go see it

Yea that bugged me in a film that wants you to take it completely serious. High explosives have enough pressure to make the strongest metal flow like liquid, not melting, FLOWING.. 2 million PSI. No way any organic matter can withstand a direct hit.

I'm so glad you liked it.

I just felt so hyped coming out of the theatre it freaked me out.

This is REALLY rare but I want to go see it again

For those who saw it on larger screens....was it full screen or reduced?

I think my experience was in a "IMAX" theater AKA. not really Imax but meant to give you a similar experience and it was full screen.
