I'm sure we all get Fox... my local station is WFFF out of Plattsburgh, NY. Global has a good habit of picking up all the good Fox series as well... Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, 24...

well, i saw the commercial for it, and one of the first things i thought of was Sarges Terminator future soldier costume...i wondered if he would be able to see it.

Once I get the snow cleared off my tv antenna (if the moose hasn't knocked it over, or the beaver hasn't chewed through the wires), I sometimes pick up stations as far away as Buffalo! :D

Maverick- yes I get FOX (as Dom said, most Canadian cable networks carry all the major US stations- ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and so on).

I know you were excited and just helping out. This reminds me of the time I said something about Canada becoming a 53rd State. :wink: :lol:

(Long story- no need to rehash it here :wink: ).


Anyway- they've been advertising the new Sarah Connor Chronicles a lot lately. It premieres Sunday the 13th. I'm looking forward to it- but with a bit of trepidation. I'm hoping it doesn't suck. :wink:

Summer Glau as a Terminator....it won't suck. Not as far as she is concerned anyway. Really nice lady.

But I am worried about it OC'ing the Terminator series.
I'm 99% sure it will so I'm taking it as a soap style series right now, nothing more.

As far as TV goes....back in my Alva days....we used to pick up TV.
That in itself was awesome.

It's funny- she is precisely the reason I'm worried it's going to suck.

Not because of who she is or her acting ability (quite frankly I haven't watched her in anything so I don't know)- it the fact that she is playing a Terminator (the most human model yet able to mimic human emotions) and is John's protector.

As Tony eluded to- I'll vomit as soon as they hint at the "She beautiful and perfect for me but I can never have her and she can never love me because she's a machine" plot. Image

Other things that will make me puke...

Sarah protecting her son from the "new Terminator/girl in town"--- "Stay away from my son you shameless hussy!"

It will be the old love/hate/trust starcrossed lovers story in shiny new packaging. :roll:

But... I'll hold off really bashing it until I see a few episodes. :wink: :lol:

I guess the resistances budget just went up. To me, them having such an up to date model takes away from 'barely surviving as a race' plot they ran with before.

Oh jeez if he falls in love with her and the plot you described comes out............. :evil:

Met her in Atlanta a few years back.
Very nice, but shy girl from Texas.
You know she's a good actress when you see her on the screen and then in real life. Total opposites.

Don't forget they scavenge everything. They probably captured and reprogrammed her (something the Terminators are prone to it seems). :wink:

my dad also worries about it "muddying the water" as far as the movie series goes...

i just think it looks cool.

I don't think you have to worry about it "ruining the series" Maverick.

T3 sort of killed it. T4 isn't really T4, but more like T minus 1 (TZero?) as it's a reboot/reimagining/prequel.

Anyway, I'm sure it will be better than casting Tyler Perry (yeah the black dude who dresses up as an old lady) in Star Trek XI
