The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Dvds are my thing these days for gifts...

From my Family:

-Twins
-Kindergarden Cop
-The Professional
-True Lies
-Star Trek: Insurrection (not exactly the best of them- but completes my SE collection of the 10 films)

-Two 2GB memory cards for my camera (which will help at D-Con).

I also got a $100 gift card at a video store with which I bought for myself today:

-Red Dawn Collector's Edition
-Hearts of Darkness (the making of Apocalypse Now- highly recommended!)
-Galactica 1980 (yeah... I know... but it completes my BSG:TOS set  )
-Willow (fun little adventure movie with a Dungeons and Dragons appeal)

Gifts from myself:

-GRiDCASE laptop
-Star Trek: TWOK Admiral Kirk, Khan, and Captain Terrell figures
- A second Longshot
-A winter jacket that was from a trendy clothing store... but looks just like an M65 coat.
-And all the crap needed to complete my Reese T1 soldier impression.

So the video store I was in had the Blade Runner 5 disc VK boxset for $69.99. I picked it up... looked at the back... put it back on the shelf... came back to it... picked it up again... looked at the sides and front... walked around with it... stared at it for a while... looked at the Limited Edition 1506 of 10000 number...

And put it back on the rack.

I just couldn't justify shelling out that kind of cash (even with my gift card). The only reason I would want it is for the "Workprint" version of the film. Anyone think it's worth it? I'm sure I could get it for a better price elsewhere (this particular video store tends to gouge people with their prices).

My sister and me agreed to not buy each other gifts this year, but my nephew still bought me one; a DVD of Al Murray as the Pub Landlord, Live At The London Palladium. 8)

I also got some posh chocolate from my sister (as a little thank you) and a £10 gift voucher from my former boss, who I visit every Christmas, so she can catch up on all the council workers gossip/news. :D
