Post subject:  FACTS 2007: "Big round greyish thing..."
The 2007 edition of Belgium's FACTS convention is over and done with.

This year, we promoted "Stargate" heavily, with the support from 20th Century Fox. How better to do this than bring along an actual Stargate.

The guys and gal in the pic are the SG4F team from France. They were so thrilled they could hardly stay away from our stand. :)

The Stargate isn't finished as it should be. It'll have lights, sound, projection effects and the glyph ring will rotate. The DHD will also have lights and some pushable buttons. The complete set will become an Egyptian-style temple of 8 by 12 meters. All in all, a couple of months more work.

FACTS 2007 also marked the debut of Barney, the very first Belgian alien (me). The name Barney was adopted from the character from "The Simpsons", because I was kinda being the intoxicated alien on Sunday, after Saturday's after-party. Pictures will follow, as soon as I get them.

Very, very impressive!

I'm not particularly a SG fan, but this looks REALLY cool!!

OUTSTANDING!! That's really darn cool!! You guys all look dead on.

Working on a SG-1 outfit too, hopefully wrap it up soon.

That's an awesome Stargate! Who stores it? :D

This is a project under construction. The gate itself is meant to have all the bells and whistles. It is stored and being worked on in our hangar, where all of our Big Props are.

It is rather amazing, that even though this particular project is no where near finished and was presented with most of the temple walls still sporting the raw hardboard plates, we got comments that our display was the most impressive thing of the entire FACTS-convention.
