Anyone trying to get ahold of me through email please use:

My burton2(at)quickclic.net address is not receiving messages due to my Outlook Express program being totally FUBAR'd.

The program has been acting wonky for a couple of months now. It has gotten to the point where it receives sooooo many junk emails that it can no longer differenciate between what it junk and what is legit.

Rather than sending these emails to my junk folder- they are disappearing into cyberspace. The program gives me the "Send and Receive" working signal... tells me it is receiving X number of emails... but nothing arrives in my inbox or junk folder at all.

So again please use the ssgtburton addy. Or you can just use the PM system here.

I HATE spam!! (junk mail that is)

Either change the e-mail address totally or use the mail rules through Outlook.
Just use words like 'Rolex, Penis, Girlfriend, pharm' etc and it cuts out an awful lot of junk.

That's not really the problem.

My burton2 email addy is no longer receiving any emails at all.

They are not arriving in my inbox- they are going into cyber limbo.

My Microsoft Office Outlook program is fudged. It tells me that there are emails being processed (IE "Receiving message 1 of 8" etc). When it finishes and says "Send and Receive Complete" there are no emails in my inbox or even my junk folder.

No emails at all to be read. At the very least if it is spam, it should end up in the junk folder so I can either read it or delete it. But in this case it's not displaying any of the emails it says it has received.

I've tried sending myself a few emails with my hotmail account- they don't get through.

So tonight I switched back to what I consider the inferior Outlook Express 6- I've done the test with my hotmail account, and my emails to myself get through every time.

So it is something wrong with the program itself.

I've tried repairing it with the cd (which is a pirated copy by the way), and have gone as far as deleting it and re-installing it.

No good- it still doesn't receive emails at all.

So I'm sticking with Outlook Express 6. Hopefully emails to my burton2 account from ebay and paypal will continue to arrive properly.

Try Gmail. It totally rocks. I've been using it for business for over a year and almost zero problems (sometimes the server shuts down for 30 mins...like once every 3 months). Just say no to Micro$oft

Open a Yahoo account...I use one for my secondary..works great for me.

But I already have a hotmail account as my secondary email (just like I mentioned in my first post ).

It's just a pain in the butt having to switch everything that uses my burton2 account as my primary email (paypal, ebay etc).

to get off topic but I signed up for a GMail account in the early days thanks to DSB.

Never used it though.
Checked it about 6 months later....full of spam!!
Not used it since.
