The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Am I a bad dad for coming home from Dragon*con and giving my 2 1/2 year old daughter a plush facehugger and chestburster?

Now she carries them around everywhere and even "attacks" the dog, myself, and the wife with them.

You would've been bad if you hadn't. Hope this gives you the answer you're looking for.

I have a 4 year old girl, and a 1 year old boy.

Swap you them for a plush facehugger and chestburster?
;)

I keed, I keed...
They have one of each themselves, as well as a plush queen and a plush MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEalien.
They love 'em.

Morgan's already showing her geek credentials - At the UKCM BBQ after Collectormania, she appeared in the garden after watching Transformers, and announced "GALVATRON JUST KICKED OPTIMUS PRIME IN THE BITS!"

Never laughed so hard in my life.
T'was awesome, and I need it on a T-shirt with pictorial representation of the event!

Well, my first born is due in Jan (hopefully Dec) and Ive told my wife that his bring home toy will be my Plush Queen Chestburster...

Also, my wife has bought an outfit to bring him home in that looks almost like our 2PATS..those at Dragoncon saw it..
Plus, I have one of the Mini PRs that Im gonna paint up and pose him with on the day he comes home;)

I wish I could see the teachers' face if your kid took her "favorite stuffed animal" to preschool. :P

I did make my daughter a little SG-1 outfit when she was a newborn. Wife didn't care for that much.

Then I gave her "Baby's First Cthulhu" book... Wife didn't care for that one much either...

ROTFLMFAO!

That's absolutely adorable! Was that an off-the-shelf item, or custom made by dad?

Off the shelf. I know the name is wrong... It's got the ABC's of Cthulhu and counting too. It's a "silver key" book (like Gold Key, only Lovecraftian) and the inside covers feature Baby Cthulhu lying dead in Ryleh sleeping. It's so awesome it rocks.
