The film project is called Cloverfield, and very little is known about it except that it looks awesome. Rumours of it being part of a Voltron movie have been denied.

The effects look awesome! Hope the plot doesn't suck.

IMO (based purely on the marketing campaign) it will suck.

Put it this way, if the premise of the film was worth getting excited about they wouldn't bother with the secrecy. The only reason to promote a film in this way is to get it more media/fan attention than it would get otherwise.

Supposedly it's tied into the movie. You do 5 mini games, and submit your email to get future updates, but that was supposed to be Aug 1st, and no updates yet.

I heard JJ Abrams wants to do an "american Godzilla" type movie.

But my geekiness tells me the alphabet on the website is "Celestial" often used in occult texts and it might be about Cthulhu.

Ok I watched the youtube video-

I didn't see any Slusho- just a bunch of people drinking at a party (maybe two people drinking from a straw- but the drink itself was out of frame).

I also didn't see any monster face in the explosion... or in the clouds.

So lemme get this straight---

There is a new drink out there called Slusho.

There is a "secret ingredient" (?) in the Slusho that makes it soooo popular.

It also happens to be what the monster is attracted to.

So because of the popularity of the drink- the vast majority of the population of NY is now monster bait.






This is going to suck bigtime.


So is Slusho an alcoholic drink? Is that the underlying theme? That drinking is bad?

Maybe the monster should be attracted to tobacco? How's that for a moral behind a story.






This is going to suck even more.
