Thanks for the links & info Matt! I will defo study B.C. Accents fascinate me Well the musical is 'Buddy', so it's the lead- includes dialogue & most songs played/sung with an on-stage band which is unusual for a musical. So they'll be looking at my guitar playing as much as acting/singing ability. Good luck, dude! Practice singing "That will be the day". For the looks, think Elvis Costello. Remember some personal histoy -- like he went down in a small aircraft caught in a snow storm in the midwest some where. Well you got the look m'boy, dye your hair and get the glasses and you got the part...Auditioning will be just a mere formality at that point. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rL_CO03VdoQ&search=buddy%20holly www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8acNYBDO28&search=buddy%20holly www.youtube.com/watch?v=nT_hAQ0U3Ug&search=buddy%20holly Is it a speaking part or is it singing or both? He had a mild southern accent not really deep country but still presaent, for comparison, Bill Clinton's accent is about the same. Go now...Be famous! Elvis Costello! Perfect example Steve! ![]() "Peggy Sue" was another one of his big hits. You might want to rent "The Buddy Holly Story" starring Gary Busey as B.H. Here we have dinner theater in which the "look-alike" performers play their own instruments and do their own singing. My wife and I attended a "British Invasion" show a couple of years ago. Beatles, Rolling Stones, Donovan, etc. It was a lot of fun. Best of success with this Rog! A short haircut (but leave a fair amount on top), and some black hornrim glasses and you'll have the look!
