I know its early, but I want a room near the floor - like I had this year.

For those who want to be in the Marriott, does anyone want to get a block of rooms?

I spoke with Tamara Carlton (one of the people who run AllCon) this weekend and she said there is already a wing set aside for the 501st. I will be staying in that section, even though most of my time will be spent as an Ultimate Badass! Star Garrison is a blast to party with and judging from the DC06 pictures, we'll fit right in so just request that when making reservations. However (judging from last year), if you are old and/or need your sleep, I would make sure you're nowhere near that section.

I'll be booking in the Hyatt again early next year. We had a blast this year and hoping to be just as good next year. you've seen the vid

Also I took the liberty of mailing D Con about 07 and have reserved the USCM table already. Tables were booked out by March for the 06 DC so better safe than sorry.

BTW, Marriot doesn't guarenty rooms together for D'con or even what floor it is on. I think they will if you do enough at the same time (i.e. one person reserves/pays for them), but I don't know the minimum (and I think it is an entire floor). The best we have been able to get (and my friend and I are both Marriot rewards members for a while) is a two room suite. When we tried to get three rooms together (paid by the same person) they said they could give us a two-room suite for two of them but wouldn't guarenty the third being nearby.

The Hilton put our rooms next to each other at DC06 and we only had two. However, one person did pay for both to be reimbursed later.

My buddy Jenn worked at the marriott for 8 years. She said, what they do is a 1st come 1st serve basis, so we give them our reservation #'s and they try to group us together.

It's worth a shot. If not then I dont' care either way it rolls.

after all, the bar in these places is usually open until silly hours anyway.

Well, I'm looking for a room... so if you want to stick me in with you and Jenn, Ash... I won't... complain.
