There are several of us from the Midwest Garrison who will be attending. 501st members from IL, WI, MI, IN and OH will be there. Stop it Joe... you're making me blush.   Weirdo? Hey Tony... you ain't seen nothing yet. There were some mighty interesting characters walking about -- Joe can attest to that.  Here's a photo of Aaron (Ed Endress' son of Fyberdyne) sportin' his version of the USCM armour which if I recall correctly was used for one of the video games. Unfortunately Aaron was stopped by security and not allowed entry with his pulse rifle, so he had to walk the show practically naked... [img]http://www.ripstick.com/USCM/images/Wizard_World_2006_Aaron_Endress_01.jpg[/img] Don't even start on the inaccuracies seen here... with the exception of the helmet cam, it appears as though everything was custom fabricated. I stopped by Ed's booth several times to talk to him about it, but he was never there. Here was some 'other' armour that I spotted struttin' about... Russ, you reminded me of an idea I had this weekend. With my family out of town, I went to Wiz World in the morning and the Ren Fair in the afternoon. A lot of driving and expensive. Since many SciFi fans are also Ren fans, this might work. Get a SG team together and go to the Ren Faire as a SG-1 mission. If everyone looks at us funny or pissed off that we don't belong, well, guess what, that is like every episode of SG-1. If we are lucky, people will "Get it" and it will be the episode where the natives greet us with food and strong drink and one of the team "get's lucky". Wow...I cannot believe they have held up that great. It was the first set of USCM armor I ever owned. I still have it in storage somewhere. Nice stuff. Fiberglass. Inaccurate..yeah...but insanely cool, well constructed...and just fun!
