The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi all.

I know a number of you guys are ex-forces, Reservists etc...
Anyone been parade for Rememberance Day (UK) or Veterans Day (US)?

If so I hope the day went/is going well.

I was thoroughly angered to discover that some b****rds in a neighbouring town had spray painted large black Swastika's on the war memorial!

If I had my way they'd find themselves behind bars for some considerable time; their trip expedited by a boot firmly inserted in their arse!
The attitude of such people makes me sick!!

Anyway...

I'm finally back home after a long day.
But all went well for the main part. Except for a few persons who failed to correct the issues with their uniform befor this mornings parade and one or two people who just didn't turn up. Needless to say they will be fearing my wrath next time I see them!

I hope that any parades or services of rememberance for those of you who took part in them all went well!

Now then, time to get out of this uniform and get a relaxing drink!

I went to a Remembrance Day ceremony in St. Albert, Alberta. It was -10 C with some wind but we toughed it out. When it was over, we went to the local Legion (veterans club) and had a beer (very busy) then went to another pub and drank until late in the evening. Many of my old army buddies were there and it was great to see them. I haven't been that loaded since Dragon Con! Yes, many toasts were made for the boys who didn't make it back.

Last time I paraded was when I was in a pipe band years ago- always a good time. Also, what do other US vets think about the campaign for us to wear our medals?
