Hey Gang,

Just thought I'd share my Halloween adventure with ya.

Since I live so close to the beach, and never take advantage of going. I decided to change it up this year and venture out into the land of sand, seagulls and red tide.

I ended up going to Madiera Beach in St. Pete with a group of friends at a very rocking bar across the street from the beach.

They had a local band playing, not half bad either, and at only a $2 cover charge how could I resist?

So I get in the door with my friends and bump into a guy who loves my costume, oh by the way I was dressed in my BDU's with a queen chestburster sticking out from my shirt, and says to stick around till midnight for the costume contest. Since I don't really think twice about it I say "thanks" and continue on my way into the bar.

After enjoying a few strawberry whatchamacallits outside on their patio area, the band starts up with some classic rock and Poison, Van Halen,etc. follow suite. All the good stuff. So we enjoy our drinks and mingle amung the crowd. Before I realize it it's midnight and time for the costume contest.

We step inside to get a better look at who the contestants are. They have a few zombies, a couple dressed as a firefighter and her boyfriend whose wearing a George Foreman apron and has charcoal rubbed on his face from being burned by the grill , they call up "Air Force Guy & Alien". I don't even think twice about it and wait for the guy to make his way to the front. After 10 seconds go by the lead singer announces it again. Will "Air Force Guy & Alien" please come to the stage. At this point everyone's staring at me and the lead singer is now pointing at me to GET UP HERE !!! So I head to the front and step up on stage.

They go through each contestant and rank them by applause. Oddly enough there was only one chick up on stage, which blew my mind as hot chicks always win these kinds of bar contests . Anyway, they get to me and alot of people cheer for me. Now since I only had 4 people come with me and therefore knew ONLY 4 people there, this REALLY blew me away !!!

So the judges talked and the lead singer came back to announce the winners.

1st Place ($300): 2 Hobo's (One with fake teeth, or were those real?, and his buddy who wore a barrel for pants).

2nd Place ($150): Zombie dude.

3rd Place ($50): Air Force Guy & Alien

I couldn't believe my ears !!! $50? $50 !!! and I didn't even wear my complete costume

The guy I had bumped when I first came was the owner of place !!! He slapped the $50 in my hand and said that costume rocks !!!

P.S. The band kept getting shots of "stuff". For all I know it was water , and while the lead singer and backup were doing a song the drummer was on the dance floor in front, listening. All of a sudden he blow chunks in front of them. Now I couldn't see it that well from the angle I was at and thought it was silly string. I DID think it was silly string until a guy came out with a mop to clean it up

Besides the drummer I think everyone had a blast. . . . . . .I know I did

Now does my 10% come right off the top or the bottom
Not to mention Legacy fees of 15% for the use of the board and Fox gets 50% for copyrights Not bad though So...$12.50 - nice one

Kevin: I was really blown away. Nothing like going up on stage and getting a warm welcome. that only was cool enough for me. No money needed. But since they gave it out to me . . . I don't mind taking it

Always need to upgrade the gear ya know.
