I was blissfully unaware of the Ninja/Pirate debate until I read some wierd post on cosplay which got shut down to avoid the subject.
Ninjas vs Pirates
So, in case I run into Ninjas while dressed as a pirate at DC, I am bringing the big guns. $5 toy plastic flintlocks, which were green and orange. After hours of painstaking detailing, they are Ninja Blasters:D

It's amazing what a little paint and effort can do for an inexpensive toy ... those pistols look great!
