I've been following this since the day it happened.

Terrible news. 4 of the students in extreme critical condition with head shots.

Everyone is now talking about the shooting that occured back in 1989.

What can compel a person to act like such a schmuck? I've never understood the "wah, wah, wah I was picked on so I'm gonna shoot you now and then off myself" type of person. Sick fn bunch.

Chris, I really have *no* idea. I was picked on a lot as a kid, and attacking anyone is about the last thing I'd do..

But I also know that in a lot of cases, bullying goes /way/ too far and schools do nothing about it.. There's gotta be some mental issues with the people who do these things, but the system definitely doesn't help. My godsis was bullied so bad that she had a nervous breakdown and had to switch schools.. and the kids continue to harass her outside of school.. going so far as trying to tip vehicles that she's in, and stuff, and threats.. and the schools in her case were *no* help at all in dealing with it. It's pathetic.

It's a manifestation of pure evil ... many times stemming from having no sense of morality. Simplistic maybe, but true, judging from the bloody results.

And that's the root. Even if you're picked on, if you have an even keel or a sense of what's right and wrong you don't go off and shoot people. We need pre-cog's like in Minority report to ferret out these lowlifes before they can hurt anyone other than themselves.

I had a look at the shooter's last blog entry with many self taken photos. Many of which are of him holding the gun he may have used (and tag lines on each photo including "F--- the world!" and "Anger and hatred simmer within me!").

It was one of those incidences where in hindsight you say- how could no one see this coming?

Right, especially after they themselves come out and tell you. Pretty scary stuff.

I really can not comprehend what goes through the mind of these people. I'm sure most people were picked on at one point or another when they were young, i know i was....but to actually go out and kill those people...thats just down right...insane:shock:

It boggles my mind that these kinds of things happen. It really really bugs me.
