Decided to share some artwork I did many moons ago.

Well done.... I had a math teacher back in '88 who encouraged us to plaster his walls with our art... I had sooo many Punisher picks up there, the wall looked black and white.

Nice work Kevin! Very nice indeed. I especially like the Batman on his Batrope -- it reminds me of Spawn which I was a huge fan of back in the day. :D

I used to draw too, but never got completely comfortable doing the human form where I felt it looked natural. I actually started doing a comic strip for my then girlfriend back in the early 1990's, but it was very simple, campy, and definitely hokey. :lol:

Unfortunately she kept them all in a photo album which I assume she still has in her possession. Although I do believe I still have some first drafts or even some of the very last panels just prior to the love dying out -- somewhere. ;)

That's because the original artwork (which appeared in Detective Comics 575-578 "Batman Year Two" story arc) was drawn by none other than Todd McFarlane! :D

I should have known! :)

I was always more a fan of the anti-heroes and the independent comics though -- especially Valiant when they started up big in the early 90's. I definitely love McFarlane's style though.

On a side note... I actually painted up one of the front fenders on an old winter beater of mine (a white 1975 Monte Carlo) to look like McFarlane's stylized blood splatter, and as seen on the Spawn top-fuel funnycar. Yet another photo I should probably try to dig up. :roll:

Nice work Kevin!

And I'm with Rick, I used to draw lots, had my whole family thinking I'd be a big time artist one day...but I could never get the human form down. Also anytime I tried to draw multiples of the same person, they ALL came out looking like different people.

Now sculpture, that's something I can do. Maybe nothing human, but hey, it's art!
