The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I put the butt of the pistol on the ground and did a quick palm strike and it worked. I wouldn't recommend that as you might hurt yourself, but a jab kick while wearing shoes from a sitting position also might work.

Not too too much force.

I’m not normally one for ‘none cannon’ items but inspired by the fine work completed by falken108 I thought I’d have a bash at my version of a longshot M41A sniper rifle.

A little more to do on it yet but almost ready of Leister

Oooerrrr

Yeah it still does all the foldy bit. The original plan was to have a working bolt on the side like to Thompson but I ended up scraping it as I didn’t really have the need to punt darts five foot across the room.

I like. Very cool.

My current project involves turning the longshot into a smartgun...

Thanks guys. I really quite enjoyed the time I spent doing it.

H I’m not sure that even you could handle a weapon of this size.

The shroud is all scratchbuilt Plasticard and P38 (Bondo?) I wasn’t too sure how easy it was going to be to make all the rounded corners but it worked pretty well in the end. As with most projects it was a learning curve and ultimately there’s a few things I might have changed if doing it again.

John a smartgun version sounds great, would love to see some progress shots. :)

i think that could possibly be done...my thought is if you took the handgrip off the front piece, and attached it to the left side of that front piece, and detached the trigger part, there would be the front handgrip...and the find a way to detach the handle from the actual rifle part, and attach that to the "stock" part (that you put to your shoulder). then you have your actual trigger.

Love the nod to Rogue Trooper in this new weapon :D "Gunner" will certainly be happy in that piece of kit :D

The AK magazine works a treat,it`s got a Quasi Warhammer 40K,Rogue Trooper,MadMax type of feel to it :D

I do know that Reinhardt (Blade2) would no doubt love it as his main Assault weapon ;)

Very Nicely done mate.

Jason

I was just thinking that with the AK mag, it does resemble a 40k bolter a bit...

Very cool!

I was just thinking about putting together a WH40K Imperial Guard Officer costume together - I guess I should start with a NERF Longshot and work my way up from there!

Great job on all accounts there. :D
