I have discovered, you cannot force weight loss from your 'problem areas' first (unless you guys know a way) you carry your weight according to your body type.
An hourglass will always be an hourglass, and the waistline goes first. I want the hips gone!!

Hi taj,
I'm no great expert on matters health and fitness and I have the body to prove it! However just a thought how about swimming? You can pretty much make your work out as gentle or as tough and as long as you want (OOOH Matron! in Best Kenneth Williams voice!) and being immersed in water should help combat your overheating problem too!

Well, at least you all tried!
I guess I will just go on as I have been, I will push it until Pete tells me to stop hurting my little(!?) self. I'm careful of my back, in fact I'm a little afraid of it.

Like I said, the neuropathy is just pain, I can ignore it (until I try to sleep at night)
Not sweating is the hard part, working out raises my core temp, swimming might just be an answer, but I *WILL* be doing the 'spandex ready' costumes next year.

I'm considering some free weights for my arms, oh and give a try doing my situps:

Sit flat on a yoga mat,
knees only slightly bent, but open not together
Cross hands on chest, tuck elbows in
now sit up, and follow thru, touching your forehead to the floor

repeat fifty times

Nothing the easy way huh?

Honestly I had to force myself to eat regularly (I do five small meals per day) I used to eat once or twice a day, when I remembered to eat at all. I found it rather odd that when I started eating regularly, I started to lose weight.

I actually regulate desserts in the house, I'm forever telling the family that home made smoothies, and baked apples are just as good as cookies and cakes.

We eat mostly chicken, I hate fish, and beef is just not something I enjoy often. I seldom touch pasta (other than glass noodles for the thai food... nom nom nom)

One more on the swimming bandwagon. There are also a lot of exercises you can do in the pool that use the water's resistance. I'm working on some of those when I can, though most of my exercise these days is using the boy as weights. My arms are getting nicer, for sure!

I've got a year to fit better into my armor for 2k12's dragon con (it fits normally NOW, but I'd like to look more the badass than I currently do. Only problem is, I can't run too much thanks to my knees going somewhat wonky during basic training in the 90's. As of the trip to the grocery I just made 10 minutes ago, I'm cutting out 70-80% of the "bad for me" stuff (can't have my body going "Dude, WTF?" too quickly. XD), and working on my upper body.

Okay, finally got the little trailer together, so I'm taking Joseph out on bike rides. It's not much, but we did about two miles today. I know it's not much, but you have to start somewhere, right? The plan is to get out there everyday, and it's easier for me to motivated with it because I like it, and because it keeps Joseph entertained.

You do realise riding in a little trailer staring a Mommy's ass could have serious effects in these formative months! :shock: Or is that what you meant by keeping him "entertained"?
