The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

You keep calling it a beard. I thought he just had sideburns?

Been a long while since I've read X-Men...

Well... yeah it's sideburns.

They cover the entire sides of his face and stop at his chin.

A little more than what The King had. ;)

(Holy Sh-t!! The seller has already left feedback!! I just paid for it less than half an hour ago!) :D

Truth be told that little skit of Bob and Doug Mackenzie isn't far off the mark- there were friends of my Dad in the 70s who dressed, talked, drank, and acted like those goons...

eh.

Good lord Kevin, you're Hulked out!

More to the subject, I'm thinking of going as Ash from "Evil Dead II". I just gotta figure out how to do the chainsaw...hand...thing.

My real problem is that the wfie and I will be going out with our little boy, and we only get to hit maybe three places before he starts falling asleep...and two out of those three places are grand parents houses...so there's little motivation for me to get all gussied up. I might fall back on a costume I already have, Dr. Decker from Nightbreed or maybe my DUNE fremen stillsuit.

Another added problem is thinking up and making/buying parts for a costume for my wife. I don't want to be in costume if she isn't, I want to include her...she loves Halloween. So if she can't think of something in time, I won't bother.

OH dear, in some bad news, I might have to postpone getting the Wested leather jacket afterall :(

Need to save up me funds as I am trying to start my own business.

One day that jacket will be mine!

DSB's Freman suit kicks ass!!!! :D

You're gonna love it Chris!

And thanks DSB on the compliment. :D

Ordered myself a set of movie claws (as opposed to comic version). Hopefully they will get here before Halloween.

What kind of movies does your wife like Bob? Maybe we can brainstorm something?

Well I've got my civilian Logan from X1 nearly finished...

Left to do:

-Dye my hair to match the sideburns ;)

-There are some leather panels that go on the front of the jacket that I have to add- I'm trying to decide if they should be the same colour as the arm bands (which is how it looks to me on film), or a lighter colour (which is what I've seen in reproduction versions). BTW- Wested Leather can kiss my a$$! I spent about a $100 bucks on this jacket. :P

-Still don't know what kind of boots he was wearing so I just have a pair of brown motorcycle boots for now. I also didn't bother with the jean jacket as I felt it would be a bit too much.

Still waiting for a set of resin claws I ordered to arrive- I've got my foamcore board set here. ;)

Now a couple of pics for the laydeez- ;)

All in all I'm very happy with how it's turned out! :D

Tenticle Chris- remember the girl at D-Con who talked me into this? If you have any contact with her- tell her thanks for me! I love this friggin' costume!!! :D
