...well someone is smiling down on us.

I got a call from a lovely couple Thursday night wanting a wireless network installed in their house. As some of you know I do at home computer repairs, but they needed me to come out.
Needless to say they had 3 computers that needed fixing, the wireless network setting up and another gentleman had a laptop that had died.
So I ran over to their place about 6pm last night, went through the setup with them for about 8 hours talking as we went about anything and everything.
So all in all after that out out of pocket expenses for the repairs will be about $45 plus anything over $16 a day for car rental.

I've come to the conclusion he lost his home and in theory his life here (illegal as it was) and all I lost was $50 or so.
I'm good with that. The car needed a new bumper anyway as I was 'bumped' before and it had left a horrible mark I had to push out. I'm just worried the bodywork was damaged also.

The uninsured coverage was to cover any medical expenses, it does not cover collision. As we're uninjured we don't need it - thank goodness.

Thanks all for your concern, I was worried one of us was going to get neck trouble from the shunt, but thankfully no.

Once the car is repaired, this will all be over and we can move on

Heres my ordeal...I drive for UPS and the area I was in this week is nothing but Mexicans who cant speak a word of English...Tues and Friday I had deliveries to the same guy....it was his passports....I had to try my damnedest to translate to him that he needed to sign for them...AND I had the same problem with a group in the "Mexican only" supermarket that could not speak ANY English....that makes my job frustrating because Im obligated to deliver the packages, but with the language barrier, its nearly impossible.

And whats up with the circus music they play so freaking loud!!!!!!!

This for Tony and the rest of you grunts. The wife is an insurance agent. Uninsured Motorist coverage only covers your deductible. It still goes as a mark against your insurance I.E. an accident on your CLUE report. If UM is only a couple of buck extra a month great. But ask you insurance the important questions.....if I claim a UM claim will it count agianst my insurance? This is with the assumption that you have comp AND collision. I dont think you can get UM with comprehensive only only.

BTW if you have a car that is only worth $2000 it might not make sense to have full coverage. Take the extra green and put it into an interest paying savings account.

Oklahoma recently passed such a law.
New hires cannot be illegals and you cannot newly rent any properties to illegals.

Obviously not everyone likes it, but they are self deporting to other areas.......I'm guessing San Francisco.

It's a crazy world!
The illegals find thier way in without difficulty and somehow manage to live happily undetected for years.
Those of us who want to do things properly, contribute to society (which is more than can be said for alot of the local white trash) and only want to start a new life with the one we love are forced through all kinds of shit to get there. Could they possibly make it any harder?

Why is it the same with so many situation all over the world? Increased restrictions and laws do a wonderful job of penalising the good people while the scum of humanity remain blisfully unaffected.

also there is no assimilation into american culture. Used to be immigrants came here they would want to be americans, now you have enclaves in cities who want no part of the culture they have moved into which I think causes even greater tensions.
