The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

That's one of the best P1 costumes I've seen!

Are you going to do the body netting?

Cheers Guys

I haven't decided on the netting yet. I may or may not as it means another layer to have to pull on and take off each time unless I split it round the back but that would mean gluing it in place or something.
There was a good netting suggested over on the Hunters Lair a while ago which was a full body stocking from Playboy.com. I may go with one of those. And I may even use it on the Predator costume LOL

Cheers

Darren

Just saw this thread Darren.

Looks very good the looks better than the movies.

That the problem with suits. they are hot to wear.

Look like the UKCM is dieing out and Aliens and Predators are taking over.

Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the comments guys, appreciate it.

@ Siderwinder. Not sure what to do about sounds yet. As a stop gap I will probably have some playing through a speaker from an MP3 or something, not sure where to locate it yet though.

Here's a couple more progress pics. Have added the Carl Toti Shoulder/Bicep armour.

I'm not incredibly happy with the paint job I've done on the armour. I think something a bit darker would be better. TBH I'm not used to painting on 1:1 scale and doubt I will be able to achieve anything particularly better than this effort. I may get someone to repaint all the armour parts for me at a later date.

Just need to sort some gauntlets out now. Last to be done will be the backpack. I have the cannon but am waiting for Carl to produce his backpack. I think this is probably one of the few pieces that you can get away with not having and still be able to wear this costume though, so no big rush. :)

Cheers

Darren

Hi all

Just a quick progress pic. I bought an airbrush and after some very helpful advice and online tutorial from JediUsurper (thanks mate) I tried the armour again.

Much happier with it now. Just need to sort out some gauntlets and blades and it'll be ready to wear. The backback will come later. I am waiting for Carl Toti to produce his as his other work has been outstanding. I have his cannon already but need the backpack before I can wear of course.

Cheers

Darren

If you're after some decent material for the mesh, go into your local electronics store and ask for some radio net.
Should work a treat. :)
