Aye, Arnhem - history trip of sorts for what will be the 63rd anniversary. The 60th was a blast

I'm in Arnhem every year in July for the Nijmegen Vierdaagse road marches.
We always take in a trip to the Airborne Museum and one of two war cemetaries and of course we take them to Arnhem Bridge.
We usualy show "A bridge too far" to the troops on the coach journey over.

Nijmegen is a beautiful city! (and it's got a great little Irish Bar )

The Nijmegan market is also worth seeing - very cheap Vietnam-era equipment (especially radios), and all kinds of WW2-era stuff that, considering the fact that Nijmegan was levelled in 1944, shouldn't even be there!

Fantastic stuff. A friend picked up a complete late-30s anaesthetist's set once, with Nitrous (eek!) for £10!

I've never seen the market. It sounds right up my street.
During the Vierdaagse week the whole city centre is taken over for the festival street parties so we don't get to see much of it under "normal operations".
