I had bought the comics back when they came out...and then never read them. Needless to say I dug 'em out this weekend and quickly remedied that situation.

I still wish they'd made the "Gates of Fire" movie, from Steven Pressfield's book (I cannot recommend this book enough - it's the most amazing 'war' book I've ever read).

BUT, I'm not about to grumble if the movie is reasonably faithful to History. I just hope it's not too comickey...

It looks just like the comic. But that's a good thing. It definitely has certain fantastical elements but still sticks close enough to the known facts.
