Well, if you subscribe to the 'single atmosphere generator' theory... the air would run out... eventually.

If you subscribe to the multiple generator theory... no reason.

Maybe only one generator was online the rest either hadn't been made or weren't online yet and only waiting on certain parts, that or the health and safety inspector shut down the plant, having seen the Death Star plans and decided that hand rails on all catwalks was a good idea after all.

Open door, take back creature, get paid from BioWeapons Divn.
I think I like that version better, minus the ZX thing. Atari 2600 was better.
But think about it, if Burke had successfully infected someone with an Alien embryo, then managed to get them back to the Sulaco and put them into cryo stasis and back to Earth, Alien 3 would be a completely different scenario, I'm thinking along the lines of Earth Hive. IMO that would be badass! Battalions of APC's, Dropships and Fighter escorts, Legions of Marines & Armoured Cargo Loaders, armed with Miniguns, Missiles and harsh language assemble on a hillside, camera turns to horizon, and a neverending mass wave of Alien Drones ascend the hill at break neck speed, man I've played too much 40k.
