As a lot of you know I work in the entertainment industry, mainly as a lighting designer/operator.

I'm lucky enough to work with a good friend and amazing singer/songwriter called Kevin Pearce. You can find out more about him and hear some of his songs here.

I work at a venue in my home town quite a bit these days since I stopped doing the West End shows etc. and Kevin played there recently.

Recently I met a local photographer; Emily Wilson from Rave Squad and she took some shots of Kevin's recent show and, rarely some of the full stage with my lighting in operation. Most photographers stay down the front and shoot close-ups of the band but Em offered to take some of the whole thing.

What I like about Kevin's music is that it's really dark. Because we're friends I know the back stories to some of the songs and when you know what happened to him in this relationship, or that meeting it makes the songs much more meaningful.

He's a joy to light too, he just leaves me to it and trusts that it'll be okay.
