The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Fire and Wind come from the Sky. From the Gods of the Sky...

But Crom is your God.

This month I decided to buy one of those official Conan swords made by Marto. Although I've always wanted the Atlantean sword that Conan carries, I was even more impressed with his Father's sword (which is seen being forged during the opening credits of Conan) so that is what I went for first.

I purchased it off an Ebay dealer. It was a bit of a nightmare getting it: The sword arrived a few days after I paid for it (it was sent Global Express). I was like a kid on Christmas morning unwrapping that huge toy he has been asking for all year! Well once I opened the box- to my horror IT WAS THE WRONG SWORD!!!

He had sent the sword of Valeria (the chick's sword for Pete's sake)! There are only three swords in the set- if he had sent Conan's sword I probably would have kept it as I planned on getting it eventually. And just like that kid on Christmas who is busting with excitement, only to discover he got a sweater instead- I completely freaked out!

So I had to go through the labourious task of repackaging it, and sending it back. Fortunately the seller was very professional and apologetic about the mistake. He sent out a replacement (even before the wrong sword returned to him) and gave me a partial refund to cover the duty fees I had to pay.

BUT ENOUGH TALK! ONTO THE PICS!!! :D

Here it is in all it's glory! Let me say this thing is BIG and HEAVY!! Not exactly well balanced, but it is simply a replica and not a battle ready sword. ;)

The elk skull detail. The blade at its widest point is 4 inches tapering down to 2 1/2 inches!

The infamous inscription: "Suffer No Guilt Yee Who Wield This In The Name Of Crom"

(You know I just had to throw this in here! :P )

All in all I am terribly impressed and pleased with my latest toy. :D

Nice! And you'll be standing guard at our table during the nights in that outfit right?

Seriously that's a beaut. The engraving on the blade is swee-eee-eeet!

Unlike our flamethrower units, let's just say they had a different kind of "flamer" at their table. ;)
