The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I stumbled upon this movie while at an asian shopping mall called Pacific mall.
At this mall they sell bootleg movies right out in the open.
I saw all the current release movies readily available.
Now for the most part I do not support this market.
However I caught a small portion of a movie and thought it looked really cool, so I checked it out.
It is called Red Cliff and directed by John Woo.
Yes it is subtitled, but I don't mind that.
Everything about this movie was fantastic.
The huge battles were great, the costumes, music, cinematography, everything was great.
Give it a chance and check it out if you can.

WOW!

My kind of movie!

Scott- you might be interested in "Heaven and Earth" (not the Oliver Stone film). The Japanese title is "Ten to Chi to".

This is the best clip I could find:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x64xMOywqZY

One of the best sequences of the film is shown at about 4:25 of the trailer. The two warriors are leaders of their clans but are also brothers. Unfortunately the clip shows the entire fight including the outcome so you might want to skip this part.

Another cool thing is it was filmed in Canada! 8)

This and Kagemusha are two of my favourite Samurai battle films.
