The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Its just a real damn shame they released it at the same time as ET. If they had released it say six months later, it might have found its audience at the cinemas.

So that's what the "I Love E.T." shirt thing in the trivia section means.

Terrible shame the movie didn't do better- but it was an R rated horror film going up against one of the highest grossing movies of all time... for kids no less. :(

Huge fan of the Carpenter/Russell films- surprised no one's mentioned Escape From New York. Hell, even LA wasn't horrible...

I really need to see Prince of Darkness again. See if I can make more sense of it next time.

Escape from New York... total class film. Ever seen the alternate beginning????

I try to mentally block EfLA. Its a movie from Carpenter's Lets make the same movie again period.

I agree with the majority of your assessment of EfLA, but I still classify it as craptastic.

I think "Escape from New York" was a great film.

http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0000118/

Have a link on John Carpenter films. There a few great one there, Like "Ghosts of Mars", "Escape from L.A." and "Starman".

Great find there Paul.

I feel like watching these films right now!!!!
