AS well as it being 64 years ago today it was D-day, it is also the birthday of Henry Allingham who is 112 today making him Britains oldest man, and the oldest surviving WW1 veteran.

A man that served his country..and lived through 2 world wars,
he goes around schools telling the kids of today what it was like in WW1.... he memory on those events are as clear as if it happened yesterday.... makes you stop and think..
