The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So trying to figure out what USCM costumes to wear when for D*con... and talking to a buddy about the 25th Anniversry GI Joe figures at the same time (he needs a Flint)...

I came up with a Flint idea. I have an OD harness that is currently detatched from the gunbelt I use for my UCSM stuff. I started thinking about making my grenade banolier into an attachment for the harness instead. Which then had me think about a different jacket/shirt. Epaulettes, my USCM drop wings, on a rolled up military style shirt, maybe a beret. Downside is Flint generally has a Black shirt. I was thinking more like a tan one instead.

More info as my brainstorming continues...

Well yeah, but I would have USCM patches too... so it would be a variant. :)

So is your thread about more EU USCM costumes?

I have something brewing (besides the Service C tan shirt uniform- that will be a snap)...

Anyway- I bought the boxset of those other Space Marines- Space: Above and Beyond. I'm about halfway through the episodes.

So it's gotten me interested in putting together a Marine Space Aviator costume- flightsuit, bunch of patches, flighthelmet.

Of course we have dropships- but to me they are like the Hueys and Cobra gunships of the Vietnam era- they aren't "fast movers". You'd think the USCM would have some kind of attack craft like the Hammerheads (basically like today's F/A-18 ).

So failing finding a Mk14 suit in my size, I'd just get a typical USAF OD flightsuit. Question is what patches to throw on it. And for the helmet- I was considering tracking down one of those S:AAB helmets.

Anyway- something I've had in mind last few nights. :)

Sounds cool. While they do say there are combat assaultships, fighters are a really cool concept.

Yeah going for a EU USCM based on Flint. It shouldn't be too hard, just acquiring more patches and of course sewing them on.

All I can say is "Yo Joe!"

Unoriginal response I know but iconic nonetheless.

Hmmm, come to think of it I still have my Duke shirt... just replace my airborne wings with my Drop wings and change some patches around...

Yes Chris, I know my Duke shirt was supposed to be Tan but would go a weird green in certain colors... :P
