The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Who else has trouble with the fact that 200 years later they're still using the same gun?

Or is it just me?

If it isn't broken, don't fix it. You don't mess around with a good/proven weapon.

Is there a reason the pr in a3 sounded different? I mean, different ammo or what, is it supposed to be that way?

I can only assume, and nothing mre than that mind you , that by the time it actually got to the editing stage of Alien3 changing the firing sound of the PR's back to the Alien's style was probably way way down there on the list, if it was there at all.

No idea if there's a difinitive answer though

I have the DVD. I'll get some posted later. It'll take me some time but it should be done/posted later tonight. I've got something else I have to do (not hobby related).

Proably the same reason why the Sulaco had a different color name on it's side, and there was an egg that magically appeared on-board.

Continuity...which can be a bitch when you don't follow it. :?

If you want an answer that would fit with the fantasy I'd say different ammunition.

I have to say, not that the PR sound from Aliens isn't cool because of course it is, but I LOVE the sound of the PR in Alien 3. If only we heard more of it! :D

Has anyone ever done a decent repro of this uniform?

I don't remember seeing anything much on the old board.

Anubian Warrior put together a version for DCon, was it last year? Maybe the year befor.

A couple of us are working on a spot on version. Most of it started on the ASAP board. There should be a thread I on here somewhere as I carried over everything we had come up with.
We've ID'd a number of bits. Still pleanty to work out though.
