The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

A secondary follow-on from the Sarge's thread. How about those cinematic moments where they get so close and yet so far? Where all it would have taken was another second, another yard, another breath, and it would have made the difference between a close call and... well, a call.

My nomination - Steve McQueen's motorbike jump in, funnily enough, The Great Escape.

You're gonna hate me for this...

But the first that comes to mind is Melish vs the SS soldier in SPR.

How about Gladiator..? Russel crowe's attemped escape from the Gladiator school at the end of the movie..only to have half of the roman army waiting for him.... , you wanted him to escape, go back to his troops and march into Rome and over throw the Emperor..which was his plan in the movie...

Aye, Steve McQueen in The Great Escape is the first 'memorable' one that came to mind.

Classic for sure

Obviously The Great Escape was the first to come to mind... So many goodun's in that!
Steve obviously...
and that classic line:

"Good luck" (thick German Accent)

..."Thank you!"

Doh!

My contribution has to be "Butch Cassidy and The Sun Dance Kid"
It's just one continuous escape!
