Feeling damn lucky to have got this into the UK before the ban, here are some pics of the 'CS&T All-Metal 'WorldCon' Blaster'. I couldn't spend as much time on them as I would have liked as I'm monumentally busy at the moment. More later perhaps.

Quick summary verdict:

• It's heavy!
• It looks (to me) like the real-deal!

That's the firing pin of the real world weapon isn't it? Wasn't it some bolt action rifle? I know I read a write up about it on Phil S's website- just can't recall the name.

Not really, they remade the bolt, it is nothing like the real one and no that is not the firing pin, it is way to large for one thing, sorry.

And it is a Styer model SL rifle.

Would sending them in "kit form" for the buyer to then assemble get around the new laws in the UK? If that's possible of course.

These are fantastic in my opinion Rich. Always wanted one but never seen one that I thought really did the prop justice until now.

Forgive me for the hijack---



If the ban is anything like what we have had here since 1998- the answer would be no. I was nailed for trying to import an airsoft Thompsom that had been broken down, and was cited with "attempting to import components for a replica firearm".

Really you're probably better off having it mailed intact rather than broken down, as the gun as a whole does not resemble an exsisting modern firearm. The individual parts (especially the bolt) do however.

Probably be best to contact your Customs/Firearms agency asking them if the BR Blaster would be allowable, and provide them with a picture of it. I've done that as well and gotten the stamp of approval (on clear airsoft rifles for instance).

Order it - then have Rich paint it with bright, neon orange poster paint. That way, it falls within the accepted guidelines of the new laws.

When it arrives, simply wash it off with warm water and dry thoroughly.

Et voilá - law defeated.

On a side note, last year I visited the factory in Italy where they designed and made the whiskey glass Deckard uses.

I think the point is that if you paint it a garish colour and this allows it to be imported because it is no longer "a realistic firearm replica or imitation" or whatever you want to call it. The person who then receives it may well be breaking the law by removing the paint yes. BUT it would then be in the country and in your home so who's to know. Plus if someone did ask they would have to prove you did it before the 1st October no?
