The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Sounds silly but have you actually asked the seller?

I`ve found in the past if you contact the seller direct (even with his NO International Shipping) they may actually allow you to go for it.

If you have dealt with International ebay sellers in the past, just point that out too.

Just a thought.

That was my first port of call

His answer was

Since international orders require special handling, we ship to the United States and Canada ONLY. We apologize for any inconvenience.

If you're willing to pay shipping to and from here, I could rebox and ship 'er out to you.

Which effectively is double handling the item, as opposed to 'special handling', i.e. putting it in a box and taking it to the post office and posting it to the UK.

I don't see much about that that's special, maybe writing out the customs sticker, bit I'd hardly call that 'special'.

Some sellers are just plain lazy.

I wasn't having a go at you Russ.

What I meant was that it's easier for the seller just to ship the item to Gerodi than to ship it to you, then have you re-box it and ship it out to Geordi - making work for you and delaying the delivery to Geordi.

I was calling the seller lazy because they're effectively making up the fact that the item needs 'special handling' whereas in fact it just needs posting.

Maybe the post office is 20 miles away, uphill, both ways in a snow storm? :)

Or lazy. Hmmmmm...
