The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

It popped up on my cable "on Demand". Why yes, it is a lot like an un-funny mystery science 3000.
Do we like this film?

Do we like it... well... it's definately vintage sci-fi. Taken on it's own merits, for what it is, it's a "good" film. It's not in the same category of good as Blade Runner, Alien, Outland or other vintage SF films from the late 70s early 80s, but it's okay.

Having said that, I probably wouldn't buy it on dvd.

Wait, actually, I think I did from the bargain rack. :)

Man! I haven't watched that film in ages!

I remember it being on tv all the time in the early 80s! If I watched it from beginning to end today- I might not like it as much as I did back then.

The robots were pretty cool- they ended up being the inspiration for R2-D2 no?

Had a little too much of a hippy vibe though.

I enjoyed the film and I got sad.

I really liked Huey, Duey & Luey (sp?)

Bruce Dern was very good, and pretty handy with a shovel as well!
