The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

feeling so dead today after going to a midnight showing, but so worth it. I doubt I would have enjoyed it as much on the small screen.

Kept me entertained, which is all I really ask for these days. Ooo and trailer for Sunshine :)

Gerard Butler (the star of 300) is slated to play Snake in the Escape From New York remake, according to AICN anyway.

Not according to the interview in Entertainment Weekly for Grindhouse. He's quotes as saying something along the lines of "If there was ever one thing I thought Snake was, it was American, not Scottish"

I still have the magazine around here someplace, I'll dig up the correct quote later on.

Just got back from seeing it and if I smoked I'm sure I'd be asking for a cig right now.

Holy hell that was amazing. I mean....I've not been so turn...er.....pleased with a film in my life.

Loved it, can't wait for the DVD.

Well was at the prop party in Dallas yesterday and saw......uhh a movie called 300.

Atmosphere and setting of the movie was amazing but I thought the story (as not being historically accurate I believe) was kind of lacking. Very epic but just 'guy shows up saying to surrender, Leonidus refuses, goes to war with the 300 and fights them.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the movie but once it was done I didn't feel fulfilled like I normally do. I guess because you need to read the history books to know how it all ended.

Leonidus' lines though were funny and really well placed.
8/10

Just saw it - the way it was done was really cool (like an animated oil painting), but I was already bored after the first half.....
